I watched this last two weeks ago.
I cried and cried throughout the show.
It never appears to me that my mom would ever accept my sexuality,
yet, I hope one day she will accept homosexuality in the society
just like Mary Griffith in the movie.
She urges people to think before they say voice or support homophobia because,
"Every child is listening".

Is this film based on a novel with the same title as it sounds familiar?
ReplyDeleteYeh it's based on the book by Leroy F. Aarons called: Prayers for Bobby: A Mother's Coming to Terms with the Suicide of Her Gay Son
ReplyDeleteI have watched this movie and loved it. Movie is based on a true story and at the end you get to see the real people who inspired this movie to be made. I thought the "real' Bobby was much better looking then the actor who played him in the movie. :)
